About
Big emotions can feel confusing, exhausting, overwhelming, heartbreaking, and sometimes even cause guilt, especially when they seem to come out of nowhere or take over the whole household. This self-paced training is designed to help parents understand why their child reacts so strongly at times, and how to respond in ways that reduce escalation, support regulation, and protect the parent–child relationship without feeling like your child is in control. Rather than focusing on "behaviour management" or quick fixes, this training explores what's happening beneath the surface — including nervous system overload, sensory stress, and emotional development — and translates this knowledge into practical, everyday strategies you can use at home. You will learn how to: Understand the difference between big emotions and "bad behaviour" Respond calmly and confidently during emotional overwhelm Support your child's regulation without blame, punishment, or shame Reduce emotional build-up through prevention and predictability Repair and reconnect after difficult moments Care for yourself while parenting through emotional intensity as parent burnout is real This training is suitable for parents of neurodivergent children, children with additional needs, or any child who experiences big emotional reactions. No diagnosis is required. By the end of this training, parents often report feeling less overwhelmed, more confident, and more compassionate — toward both their child and themselves.
